From One Easter To Another

Hello to everyone!

A white bunny rabbit with the words 'Happy Easter!' on top.

I hope you all have had a wonderful Easter weekend!

Mine consisted of fun times with my in-laws, quality time with my mom, and plenty of delicious foods and sweets. Definitely cannot complain, had a super great weekend! This of course got me thinking about stuff, and I quickly remembered my blog post from last Easter. Naturally, I felt the need to share this with all of you lovely people. Oh, how I love reminiscing, and well, my blog makes it all that much easier. Lucky you, right? I mean, why wouldn’t you guys want to re-read a random post I wrote a year ago? So, here goes… my post from last Easter.

“NOT A WINNER?! : March 29th, 2016

Growing up, I experienced mostly Jewish holiday celebrations, and so I never did much for occasions such as Easter, Thanksgiving, or Christmas. One thing, however, that I do remember from my childhood, is spending time with my friend Kira’s family decorating their Christmas tree a few times over the years. I am now lucky enough to be married to Gen and to be able to celebrate these holidays with her and her family. After having been together for almost three years now, I have experienced a few of each, and have thoroughly enjoyed each of them.

While sitting in the living room talking about this blog today, I suddenly hear “Not a winner!” from Justin (sister-in-law’s boyfriend). Feeling quite confused, I looked around the room and then coyly in his direction. I quickly realized that his comment was merely in regards to the lottery ticket he was currently filling out. Phew! Just a little anecdote I wanted to share

Anyways, as I sit here eating jelly beans, I am feeling very lucky to have had such a fun and memorable Easter Sunday today. I have added two lovely pictures of the glorious event… First picture is the delicious dessert we had the pleasure of eating today with the baker himself, my father-in-law Serge, then comes the gorgeous decorations made by my mother-in-law Lise.

During all of the celebrating today, we enjoyed the company of the family’s three very adorable pets. My sister-in-law Veronique has two super cute pets; a kitty cat named Hazel, and a tiny shih tzu poodle Ember. Lastly, is their handsome dog Hoffie. The presence of these cuties during holiday celebrations always adds to the enjoyment. Here’s to many, many more of these occasions in the future! Thanks to my amazing in-laws for hosting them!”

And now onto this year’s Easter…

Spending Easter with the in-laws is always so amazing! To make this year even more special, Easter Sunday fell on Lise’s birthday, so we got to have an extra awesome double whammy celebration! I’d like to take this opportunity to wish her an amazing belated birthday! To commemorate the occasion, I have two pictures again. Firstly, gotta say how much I admire Lise’s decorations, wow is she ever talented! The first pic shows a cute little part of her Easter display. Next, is the super amazing chocolate cake we had. I seriously could not get enough of that stuff, I ate so much! Perfect for a birthday/Easter dessert! Even got to enjoy leftovers today, the gift that just kept giving. Amazing company including both people and pets, scrumptious foods, gorgeous decorations… there is seriously nothing more I could want. As cheesy as it sounds, my childhood dreams of family holidays has come true

Would love to hear about your Easter weekends! Share away in the comments below
